The son of a cult leader, Yukito is sacrificed by his father and, in his dying moment, wishes to awaken in a world that does not believe in gods. While perhaps not the theme's "best" current offering, KamiKatsu is certainly the season's most unhinged and hilarious isekai. Like every season of the last few years, Spring 2023 tells its share of isekai tales.
